Overview

The software consists of a graphical user interface (GUI) and a set of modeling tools. The user interface features a four pane split screen showing the schematic, an area of construction and the current drawing. Each pane has a number of application windows showing various drawing features. Schematic drawing includes a plan/profile view with eight drawing axes, which can be used to rotate, scale, translate and mirror the drawing elements. An area of construction shows a list of components, and a second drawing window shows a view of the construction that can be used to zoom, pan and rotate the image of the construction components.

AutoCAD is available as three versions: AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Standard and AutoCAD Enterprise.

Advantages

AutoCAD is used primarily for designing or drafting 2D drawings and 2D plans and is not recommended for architects or other designers who require strong modeling tools. However, the program provides advanced functionality for 2D design. The AutoCAD capability to perform several simultaneously includes the ability to open many AutoCAD documents at once, which aids in batch processing.

The AutoCAD capability to perform simultaneous cuts, adds, subtracts, rotates and aligns objects is unique.

Another key capability is the ability to link to other databases, which is useful to create assemblies and drawings from other sources. AutoCAD also provides a drawing creation tool called Inventor, which was acquired from Autodesk in 2016 and is now known as 3D Systems’ Autodesk Inventor.

User Interface

The AutoCAD user interface is one of the most visible differences between the application.

In 2018, AutoCAD did not support 3D drawings.

Zooming and Panning

The main menu is used to zoom into and out of the drawing area. The plus or minus signs to the left of the zoom controls enable or disable zooming.

The zoom level is displayed in the status bar. This shows the scale of the drawing when the user navigates from one location to another. This zoom level can be changed by clicking on the small number of the arrow above the zoom controls. This is also the means to zoom in or out of a drawing.

Outlook Connector
Email extensions available for Microsoft Outlook, allow users to synchronize drawing, which have been created with AutoCAD into one or more Microsoft Exchange email folders.

PCB design
Autocad supports the import of standard IEEE 2-view board layout files and the creation of schematic diagrams from these. When this is activated it will show up in the ‘layouts’ tab on the right hand side of the main menu.

CAD prints
CAD prints (wood, plastic, rubber, etc.) can be made from 2D and 3D CAD drawings. These can be printed or converted to DWG or DXF files.

Standalone design software
AutoCAD is a standalone software for 2D and 3D design. The latest AutoCAD release is version 2015. AutoCAD for Mac OS X. AutoCAD Mobile is a web browser based application which allows users to work on AutoCAD drawings from a variety of devices including mobiles and tablets.

Usage in architecture
For architectural work, AutoCAD uses profiles for a number of different types of work including an engineering profile (used to create drawings), and an architectural profile (used for architectural visualization).

The engineering profile has aspects such as construction layouts and construction coordination which are useful for making the maximum use of AutoCAD.

In architectural work, the architectural profile allows users to design a building from the ground up, including a floor plan, elevations, and architectural and interior images.

Usage in construction
AutoCAD is used in construction management, with the application offering design features as well as construction management. It is used to create set-out drawings, and to create a virtual model of a building project, which can be printed or rendered.

It can be used as a CAD drawing application to prepare working drawings, but it is not suitable for more advanced construction techniques such as HVAC and electrical design.

Usage in civil engineering
Civil engineers use AutoCAD for drawing profiles, including sections, axonometric, and architectural profiles. These are used to make specifications and quality control.

Usage in manufacturing

AutoCAD is used for sheet metal design and sheet metal fabrication. The DWG format supports the creation of drawings in this field. It can also be used in sheet metal tooling, for example the process of creating a metal shaper. It is also used in the field of CAM, Computer-Aided Manufacturing.

Login in Autodesk Autocad ( www.autodesk.com/autocad )

Click on File -> Open -> Import. (You can also import an existing model file or an *.modf file from the disc that came with your Autodesk software.)

Select your choice of model as *.mod or *.trg from the Import menu.

Save the new file in your default directory (usually c:\users\username\appdata\local\autodesk\acad.

You should see the new model with 2 parts in the Model Browser window.

Right-click and rename the *.mod file as *.trg and the *.trg file as *.mmd.

Save your *.mmd file on your hard drive.

You can now open the *.mmd file in the Viewer window by double-clicking on it.

You can also open the *.mmd file by double-clicking on the file in Windows Explorer.

Here, we will change the view so you can see all of the elements and symbols in the model.

From the 3D View window, click the 1, 2, or 3 buttons to toggle the view.

What you can do with the keygen
The keygen will allow you to extract the data from the *.trg file and save it in a *.txt file.

Extracting data from a *.trg file

You can use the Extract Data Tool to extract data from a *.trg file in the Viewer window. The tool uses the data extraction parameters that are stored in a *.txt file.

To extract the data:

From the 3D View window, select the “Extract Data” tool.

Select your *.trg file

3D Modeling:

Build 3D models with a variety of geometry, even at large scales. Use a simple drag-and-drop interface to build and edit 3D models quickly. You can even use 3D models to create geometric surfaces in your drawings.

You can now automatically turn on automatic connection of components in a drawing and group similar components together into a single node.

When you use line width to create lines in Drafts, they automatically convert to a vector line shape. Now you can easily edit vector lines and change their width without changing their shape.

You can now view your project history and save project templates from within the design canvas.
